Job Summary
|
Provide a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for children while they are in the Head Start environment (classroom, outdoor play area, and field trips). Promote the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of Head Start/Early Head Start children. Encourage parent involvement in all aspects of the program. To develop individual goals for children, provide on-going assessment on progress and facilitate transition into kindergarten.

Requirements
|
TCHR. I : Associates Degree with a major in Child Development or related field from an accredited college with a minimum of twenty-four (24) units in Early Childhood Education or Child Development. Additionally, the position requires a valid Child Development Teacher Permit (see Permit Requirements attached), plus sixteen (16) G.E. units.; And two (2) years experience working with young children (2-8 years old in a Head Start or preschool program).
TCHR. II.: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development AND a valid Child Development Teacher Permit (see Permit Requirements attached), plus twelve (12) units in and administration/supervision; two (2) years experience working with young children (2-8 years old in a Head Start or preschool program).
